Practice records
The desk stores questions answered, scores, bookmarks and an unfinished session under learnerpermit.progress.v1 in browser local storage. These records are not uploaded to our server or Stripe. Use the desk’s export or clear controls. Clearing browser data removes progress. It does not sync across devices. No names, birthdays, school details or child email addresses are requested.
Adult purchases
Practice Plus checkout is restricted to US adults aged 18+. Stripe processes card details, billing/customer address and payment. We do not receive full card numbers. We retain purchase email, references, payment/refund status and terms acceptance for delivery, support and accounting, for up to six years. Stripe’s processing follows its own privacy policy. Payment and email providers may process data outside your country.
Email and recovery
SendGrid sends transactional purchase, recovery and refund emails. It receives the recipient address and message. Email click and open tracking are disabled. We do not send marketing email in this release. Delivered email bodies on our server are cleared after 30 days; order records remain for accounting. Undelivered messages retry, then need support intervention.
Essential sessions and request metadata
A secure, HttpOnly, SameSite cookie under /plus/ protects checkout forms and paid access. It is not an advertising cookie. Hosting and Cloudflare handle IP addresses, request logs and security metadata to deliver and protect the site. No analytics, ads or behavioral tracking scripts are installed. Rate-limit identifiers are HMAC hashed and cleared after about 48 hours. Browser support and security settings can prevent storage or paid access.
Retention and choices
Unpaid draft/expired orders are removed after 30 days; private daily database backups are kept for 14 days. Paid order records are retained for up to six years for accounting. You can request access, correction or deletion of purchase data, subject to mandatory recordkeeping, by contacting [email protected]. Do not email card details. You can clear practice data yourself without contacting us.
